She is married to Sir Clifford Chatterley, a wealthy nobleman much older than she. The film revolves around Constance Chatterley, a young bride in her twenties. Parkins and Constance are seen as little more than adulterers and are ostracized by the townspeople and the aristocratic set that was so important to Constance at one time. Unfortunately for the star crossed lovers, their secret affair becomes public. He makes her feel as she did before she became Lady Chatterly. With him she feels like she doesn't as if she has to be the proper lady. At first it is only physical attraction but as time passes, she begins to have romantic feelings towards Parkins. Despite the fact that Constance is married, she gives to temptation and they begin a physical relationship. Parkins feels the attraction and is also drawn to her beauty. She has started to notice his muscular physique and feels a strong attraction to him. Constance has been taking daily walks around the estate, and during one of those walks starts chatting with Parkins, the groundskeeper of the estate. Constance becomes tired of living in a loveless marriage. He showers her with all the creature comforts. Constance knows that Clifford loves her in his own way. Constance begins to feel that she is little more than a nurse to Clifford.
